Applied Computer Science Scholarship A one-year scholarship to an Applied Computer Science/Computer Information Science major who has completed Comp 300 Data Structures at LHU.  Minimum GPA of 3.0.  $          375
Bo Miller Excellence in Computer Science Scholarship To provide a scholarship for a deserving student majoring in Applied Computer Science dedicated to the advancement of the field of Computer Science. Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with a GPA of 3.0 or greater.   TBA 
C. Herbert & Mildred R. Larson Scholarship For a rising junior majoring in Computer Science with a strong background in mathematics who is a resident of Pennsylvania.  Minimum GPA of 3.0.  $          325
Charles Galgoci & Nancy Berry Galgoci Accounting Scholarship For a rising senior accounting major with the highest average among accounting majors. Recipient shall have completed accounting course work at LHU.  $       1,050
Dr. Adrians & Marta Ozolins Scholarship For rising sophomores, juniors or seniors majoring in Economics or Political Science with preference given to an Economics major; based on academic achievement/demonstration of financial need.  $       3,600
Eagle Valley Bargains Business Scholarship For a senior student majoring in Business and Computers that is a PA resident. Student must posess a GPA of at least 3.0.   TBA 
Janette Marek Memorial Scholarship For a rising senior female Computer Science major with a minimum GPA of 2.5 with demonstrated financial need/active community service.  May receive award only once.  $          250
LHU Finance & Administration Department Scholarship For a student majoring in the Department of Business and Computer Science. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have earned at least 30 credit hours. Student must have at least one remaining semester at LHU and submit to the scholarship committee a current resume and a short cover letter describing their career goals.  $       1,000
Paula F. Bell Women in Technology Scholarship To provide a scholarship for a female majoring in Applied Computer Science or current degree name if name has changed. Must have earned a minimum of 30 credits in residence at LHU. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in Applied Computer Science (COMP) or current prefix if no longer COMP courses taken at LHU. Transferred courses not included. Must have at least two remaining semesters at LHU. Student must submit a cover letter enclosing a short resume and essay describing why she chose the computer science field and her career goals.   $       1,125
Poorman Female Entrepreneurial Leader Scholarship To provide a scholarship for a female upperclassman at LHU majoring in Business with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and a resident of Pennsylvania  TBA 
Robert Seyfarth Scholarship For students majoring in Management.  Must have achieved junior standing, with a minimum of 3.0 semester hours residence credit in major courses at LHU.  $          275

Joan Gallagher Memorial Scholarship To provide a scholarship to a student employed by Stevenson Library. The recipient shall be a student determined to be the "most deserving" by the Stevenson Library Scholarship Committee, and shall demonstrate financial need.  $          200

Cale Shaffer Memorial Scholarship For a rising Junior Recreation major with a minimum GPA of 2.5.  Recipient should be involved in community service and show a strong willingness to help others.  $          200
Dr. Matthew G. Maetozo Recreation Scholarship for Academic Excellence For a male or female student majoring in Recreation. Must have successfully completed the Professional Semester or be presently enrolled in it and must have achieved a GPA of 3.2 or better in the Recreation major and a GPA of 3.0 or better overall.   $          175
The Ann & Wayne Allison Recreation Scholarship For a rising Junior Recreation major with a minimum GPA of 3.2 or better in the major and a GPA of 3.0 or better overall.  Consideration given to service to the major and financial need.  $        1,025

Dolores Lynch Scholarship For a Social Work major with at least 64 credits and a cumlative GPA of at least 2.75. Must have at least a 3.25 GPA in the courses of the social work sequence. Not based on Financial need, but on merit and good academic standing within the social work major. Applicant must write a 350 word essay on why they decided to become a social worker.   $          575
Donn & Mary Ann Zaffuto Wagner Academic Scholarship For a rising junior Social Work major with a minimum GPA of 2.5.  Recipient should be an active participant and volunteer in campus community organizations.  $       1,200
Dr. Roosevelt Green Memorial Scholarship For a student majoring in Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or Geography who demonstrates respect for others, contributes to activities that benefit the LHU community and works to promote social justice on campus.  $           325
Hari Prasanna Biswas Scholarship For a senior Social Work or Sociology major with a minimum GPA of 3.6 in major and 3.5 overall GPA. A plaque will be awarded to recipient.  $          125

Williamson-Botts Memorial Scholarship For a full-time student enrolled in a major in the College of Natural, Behavioral and Health Sciences or College of Liberal Arts and Education.  Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and have earned at least 48 credit hours at LHU.    $             175
COMMUNICATION
Dr. Saundra K. Hybels Memorial Scholarship For three students majoring in Communication Media or majoring in the Journalism, Electronic Media, or Advertising and Public Relations track within the Communication Program.  One scholarship for a rising sophomore, one for a rising junior, and one for a rising senior.  Must excel in the field of Journalism and Mass Communication.  Must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.  Special consideration will be given to Lock Haven Area School District graduates.  Disbursed among the three recipients equally.  $             500
Rebecca Gross Award For an outstanding senior majoring in Communication Media or majoring in Communication who are completing the Journalism Track, the Electronic Media Track, or the Advertising & Public Relations Track. Must have a 3.0 GPA. Service in other campus or off-campus activities includes volunteer work and paid work related to some form of journalism or mas communication.  $             325

Dr. Paula D. Packer Memorial Education Scholarship For a student majoring in an Education discipline with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and is participating in student teaching. First priority given to Early Childhood Education major. Second priority given to PreK-Grade 4 or 4-8 Middle Level majors. Third priority given to any other education field under the administration of the LHU Department of Elementary Secondary Education.  $             850

Schrot-Benner Memorial Scholarship Scholarship 1: To provide a scholarship to a rising junior or senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0, U.S. Citizen with financial need in the education major with preference given to one who demonstrates an interest in education-safety, audio visual services or drivers education. Scholarship 2: To provide a scholarship to a rising junior or senior student who is a U.S. Citizen with financial need seeking a Bachelor of Science in Education with a specialty in English.   $             575

June Rich Whittaker Memorial Scholarship For a full-time rising junior or senior student majoring in Math, Science, Secondary Education Math or Secondary Education Science who is a resident of Pennsylvania.  $             150
Lew & Myla Magent Education Scholarship For a dual major sophomore, junior or senior majoring in Special Education and a second major in either PreK-Grade 4 or 4-8 Middle Level majors, Early Childhood or Physical Education, with a minimum GPA of 3.4 in Special Education and minimum overall GPA of 3.2.  $          1,200
Mary A. Coploff Education Scholarship For a rising junior or senior Education major seeking teacher certification in the   4-8 program or combined programs including grades 4-8.  Financial need will be a consideration.  $             625

Samuel L. Caramela Memorial Scholarship For an academically qualified underclassman Education major, who is a Central Christian Junior-Senior High School Of Dubois, DuBois Area High School or Curwensville High School graduate.  Academic merit and financial need considered.  TBA 
Susan Selleck Memorial Scholarship For an LHU student majoring in Early Childhood Education, with preference given to a Jersey Shore Area High School graduate.  Minimum GPA of 3.0. Donor would like to be a part of the selection process.  $          1,125
The David White Arts & Science Scholarship  For a full-time LHU student who is majoring in one of the Arts & Sciences disciplines.  Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, demonstrate leadership to the campus community, and submit a resume and a one-page essay on the leadership roles in which he or she has served in the campus community.  TBA 
The Gwendolyn C. & Dr. Edward C. Clawson Scholarship For a student majoring in an Education discipline, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. First preference given to a male student majoring in PreK-Grade 4 or 4-8 Middle Level, second preference to any student in PreK-Grade 4 or 4-8 Middle Level majors and third perference to any student majoring in education.  $             300
The Updegraff Family Scholarship For a rising senior Education major who demonstrates financial need and is in good academic standing.  $             450
Thomas C. Hoy Memorial Scholarship For a rising sophomore, junior or senior Secondary Education Science major with a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Preference given to Keystone Central School District graduate who has documented financial need.  $             525
Thomas E. Wolfe Memorial Scholarship For students majoring in Secondary Education, Social Science who have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the major courses, completed 45 to 85 credit hours, and have taken at least two major courses at LHU. Recipients may be considered for this award a second time provided eligibility requirements are maintained. During any single year, no student will be permitted to recieve both this and the Nelson E. Wolfe Scholarship.  $             900

Wolfe Memorial Scholarship For students majoring in History, Social Studies with a specialization in either History or Anthropology, who have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the major courses; must have completed at least 45 credit hours, and have taken at least two major courses at LHU. $500 extra to be paid out in 2016-2017.  $             900

The Dr. Cecilia Macia Scholarship Annual scholarship for a student majoring in Spanish who will participate in an LHU international exchange to a Spanish speaking country. Must have greatest financial need of all applicants and a minimum GPA of 2.5 and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in Spanish. Must also have at least 60 credits.    TBA

Martin Women & Gender Studies Memorial Scholarship For two rising sophomore, junior or seniors minoring in Women and Gender Studies.  Must show evidence of leadership/engagement in women and gender issues on the campus or in the community and must discuss this evidence in a scholarship essay of at least 100 words.  Minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher throughhout whole year after receipt of scholarship.  Selected by WGS Scholarship Committee.Graduating seniors not eligible. John Ross Memorial Scholarship For a band member demonstrating outstanding commitment.  $             200
LHU Alumni Band Service Award For full-time sophomores or juniors participating in both marching and symphonic bands anad currently performing with the LHU band during the semester in which the award is presented.  $             275
Mark Groner Memorial Scholarship For a rising junior or senior member of an LHU instrumental performing group or Phi Mu Delta fraternity and/or Music major.  Minimum GPA of 3.0.  $             800
Mary Josephine Torsell Memorial Scholarship For an LHU student who participates in band.  $             625
Mary Ulmer Music Scholarship For Pennsylvania residents who are rising juniors or seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.5 participating in at least one of the University music programs and demonstrating talent and interest in music. Must demonstrate financial need.  $             500
Poorman First Jazz & Pop Scholarship For a student who is a PA resident with at least a 3.0 GPA. Preference given to Keyboard Studies.  TBA 
The Miriam Herr Claster Award For students exhibiting exceptional musical talent. First priority to music majors with secondary considerations given to persons in PreK-Grade 4 or 4-8 Middle Level majors music emphasis program.  $             200

Second year recipient should be majoring in one of the Liberal Arts disciplines. Third year recipient should be majoring in one of the Natural Science disciplines.   $      1,025

Dr. Yvette Ingram Scholarship First or second year students majoring in the Master of Athletic Training Program. Must be highly involved in the profession of athletic training, who exemplifies volunteerism. Must be actively in clubs, sports, projects and activities associated with both the Athletic Training Club and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Society(PATS) and Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association(EATA) organizations. Minimum GPA of 3.0.  $      1,000

Harry and Maelo Crissman Scholarship For a student majoring in Biology from Clinton or Centre county the demonstrates financial need. Second preference given to student majoring in one of the life sciences disciplines that demonstrates financial need.  TBA

Frederick Hunter Memorial Scholarship - Biology For a rising junior or senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and is a current resident of Clinton or Centre County.  Five scholarships award, one to a student in each of the following majors:  Art, Biology, Education, History and Math. CT Assist Scholarship To provide a $2,000 scholarship awarded to a first year Physician's Assistant student which will continue into their second year for $2,000 totaling $4,000. A first year PA student will be selected annually so there will be $4,000 awarded in scholarships every year after the initial year. The recipient must be dedicated to making the world a better place through their service toward others. This scholarship is being awarded to attract protential PA students to LHU. Students must be in good academic standing and cannot be in a probationary status for any reason. Candidate must be willing to spend at least one rotation domestically or abroad to an underserved community. Additional assistance may be available to the recipient if requested through the donor to cover travel costs or lodging associated wtih such a rotation.   $      2,000

Victoria J. Romeo, MD Memorial Physician Assistant Scholarship In 2008 Lock Haven University Foundation became the benefactors of a trust that has endowed scholarship opportunities to graduate physician assistant students and LHUP undergraduate 3+2 BS/MHS students. This endowed scholarship fund will provide the following scholarships to future physician assistants enrolled in the LHUP programs:
·         Three $1170.00 Scholarships to students enrolled in the graduate Physician Assistant Program
·         Two  $1170.00 Scholarships to students enrolled in the undergraduate 3 + 2 BS/MHS Program
These scholarships will be competitively awarded on an annual basis. Students who receive the award in previous years are eligible to compete in subsequent years for the award. The following criteria will be used for determining award recipients:
·         Students must be residents of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to be eligible for the award
·         Students applying in their freshman through junior years in the 3 + 2 Program or graduate PA students must have a minimum 3.2 GPA.
·         Awards will be preferentially given to students who are from medically underserved areas.
·         Financial need, as determined by the student FAFSA application, will be considered in determining award eligibility.
·         Academic Performance as demonstrated by the applicant's last 24 months of education in any setting and standardized test scores will be considered.
