John Yonkin, 1981 Lock Haven University graduate, enjoyed a three-decade career in which he ascended from salesperson to CEO. In February, Yonkin virtually visited LHU to chronicle his business experiences -- connecting them to course concepts covered in Professor Cori Myers' strategic management capstone class for senior business and accounting students.
Lock Haven University recently celebrated the achievements of nearly 400 graduates during the 143rd spring commencement ceremonies.
The National Council of English Teachers (NCET) has deemed "I'm Feeling Blue, Too!" one of 25 Notable Poetry Books for 2021. The children's book, written by Lock Haven University English professor Marjorie Maddox and illustrated by LHU art professor emeritus Philip Huber, was published in August 2020 by Wipf and Stock.
Ashley Foltz came to Lock Haven University in 2003 to pursue her dream of becoming a physician assistant (PA). Five years later, after completing LHU's "3+2" PA program, Foltz graduated in 2006 with a bachelor's and a master's degree. Shortly following graduation, she began working as a PA in an emergency room in Pittsburgh, before eventually returning home to the Lock Haven area to work for Geisinger Health.
