When Lock Haven University welcomes students back to campus in spring 2019, some may have their four-legged companions in tow. The university will be the first in the Pennsylvania's State System to introduce a pet-friendly residence hall.

The Lock Haven Community Service Office recently hosted its annual Adopt a Family project in partnership with the Salvation Army in Lock Haven.

In October, Dr. Julie A. Story, director of TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) at Lock Haven University, joined approximately 35 leaders of TRIO state and regionals associations gathered at Cornell University for the second annual COE Executive Leadership Institute for College Opportunity Professionals.

For four days in November, Lock Haven University senior, Samantha Eisenhart, provided a way for members of the LHU community to thank local veterans. This is the third year Eisenhart, a community/commercial recreation management major from Sunbury, has facilitated this service project in honor of Veterans Day.

Once again, a Lock Haven University student received top honors at the Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (PSAHPERD) state convention, held November 8-10 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Champion, Pa.
