Colby Welshans, a 2014 graduate of Lock Haven University's physician assistant program, is one of several LHU alumni employed by UPMC Outpatient Center in McElhattan. His path to medicine, however, was a little different than most.
Lock Haven University will present the third annual Craig and Marilyn Willis Distinguished Lecture at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23 in the Willis Health Professions Building, room 105, Greenberg Auditorium on the campus of LHU. Kathleen M. Gillespie, chief executive officer of the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging (CCAAA), will speak on the topic of, "MAGIC in Response to the Alzheimer's Epidemic."
Lock Haven University health science student, Janice Balmer, of Manheim, was selected for an oral presentation of her research at the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health 2019 Pennsylvania Public and Community Health Annual Conference held on April 2 in Lancaster.
The Lock Haven University physician assistant program will hold a 5K road race and 2-mile walk on Saturday, April 27 in the Poorman Commons pavilion on campus.
