The College of Liberal Arts and Education

105-107 Sloan Fine Arts Building, Lock Haven University
The College of Liberal Arts and Education provides the foundational principles of general, teacher, and professional education. Our highly qualified faculty assists our students in acquiring the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to succeed in their chosen fields and lead in our increasingly complex global society.
In today’s rapidly changing interdependent world, citizens and workers will need a wide array of problem-solving skills, the ability to understand diverse cultures, and proficiency in interpersonal communication. Degree programs offered in the College of Liberal Arts and Education give students the opportunities to develop those skills. Both our liberal arts and education programs are relevant for twenty-first century college students who are preparing for their challenging and rewarding lifetime careers as well as that first post-college job.
Programs housed in the College of Liberal Arts and Education align with Lock Haven University’s mission. These programs provide strong foundations in the liberal arts and social sciences, give students real-world experiences, and enable students to be responsible, successful citizens in our global and technologically advanced society.
