LH Degree Requirements (Effective Prior to Fall 2023): Secondary Education (M.Ed.)

LH Degree Requirements (Effective Prior to Fall 2023): Student Teaching Track
  • Candidates are required to earn a minimum of 30 credits for MEd degree completion. Upon review of transcripts and professional experiences, Teacher Certification Candidates may be required to take additional courses to meet Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) requirements/competencies for initial teaching certification. Therefore, Teacher Candidates may be required to take up to 42 graduate credits.
  • Additionally, some undergraduate content courses may be required. However, Teacher Certification Candidates may qualify for initial teacher certification with a minimum of 12 credits completed with a B (3.0 GPA)
  • Students may apply for the Fall, Spring, or Summer semesters.
