Foltz named to Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Team
Junior Marah Foltz (Mountville, Pa./Hempfield) of the Lock Haven University women's soccer team has
been selected to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District®. The team is selected
by CoSIDA.
Foltz, the 2018 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Player of the Year,
was one of 11 players named to the NCAA Division II District 2 Team. District 2 is
comprised of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), the Mountain
East Conference (MEC) and the PSAC.
Foltz, a PSAC First Team selection scored 17 goals during the regular season led the
Bald Eagles and paced all PSAC players. It also tied the single-season school record.
Lock Haven's 2018 PSAC tournament appearance marked LHU's first playoff appearance
in 12 years and 11 wins on the season marked the most for the Bald Eagles since 2004.
The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA,
recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the
field and in the classroom. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately
recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II,
NCAA Division III and NAIA.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America®
ballot. First, second and third-team (if necessary) Academic All-America® honorees
will be announced in early December.
The Google Cloud Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes 'listed/linked
above' on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across
the United States and Canada.
The Division II and III Google Cloud Academic All-America® programs are partially
financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures
to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Divisions
II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA Google Cloud Academic All-America®
program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
