Guest Speaker Dr. Ruth Ann Neff - Lacrosse: The Spirit of the Game

Stevenson Library

21 Campus Drive
Lock Haven, PA 17745

Retired LHU professor Dr. Rose Ann Neff will share her passion for the sport of lacrosse at LHU.  Her lecture is entitled Lacrosse: The Spirit of the Game.  Dr. Neff played lacrosse at LHU for Hall of Fame coach Charlotte E. Smith during the early days of the program, 1971-73.  After graduation, she earned a starting spot on the U.S. team that defeated Great Britain, the reigning world champion, in 1975.  She was head coach of LHU lacrosse during the 1980s.  Her presentation will focus on how the game of lacrosse has evolved and, just as important, how the game helped her evolve as a person.

Dr. Neff’s lecture is part of this year’s 50th Anniversary Celebration of LHU Lacrosse.  Please join us as we continue to celebrate this important milestone for the program.

Light refreshments will be served.  Admission is free and open to the public.
