Experience the Solar Eclipse at Lock Haven University

Join the Lock Haven University department of Geology and Physics to experience the 2017 Solar Eclipse on Monday, August 21st.

WHAT: Experience the Solar Eclipse at Lock Haven University

WHEN: Monday, August 21st 2017; 1:15 p.m-4:00 p.m. (maximum eclipse at 2:38 p.m.)

WHERE: Lock Haven University Commons Lawn (between Price Auditorium and Stevenson Library)

WHO: Dr. Jim Wheeler (Jwheeler@lockhaven.edu); Dr. Loretta Dickson (ldickson@lockhaven.edu)

The viewing will be held on the University Commons Lawn (between Price Auditorium and Stevenson Library). The eclipse begins at 1:15 p.m. with the maximum at 2:38 p.m. and the last contact at 3:56 p.m.

Free solar eclipse glasses will be provided for safe viewing. Lock Haven observers will see a 75% partial solar eclipse. Join millions across the country in witnessing this exciting event.
