Lock Haven University will hold an art exhibit opening reception for visiting graphic design artist, Ryan Lewis, from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, February 26 in the Sloan Fine Arts Gallery on the LHU campus. Lewis’ work will be open for free public viewing from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, February 26 through Wednesday, March 21 in the gallery.

Lewis is an assistant professor of art in graphic design at Western Michigan University's Gwen Frostic School of Art. He teaches courses in color, handmade books, advanced problem solving, typography, and self-directed design research projects.
Lewis holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from Utah State University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from the School of Art + Design at Ohio University.
His current research interests include typeface design, handmade books and time-based media projects exploring the dimensions of human personality. His time-based work has been exhibited at galleries throughout the United States. He is also a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts.
