LHU Homecoming Weekend Filled with Events for Alumni and Community

Lock Haven University invites alumni, friends, and the community to join in the festivities for Homecoming 2017. This year’s celebration includes many old favorites and some new activities to delight all ages.

WHAT: LHU “LOCKtoberfest” Homecoming

WHEN: Friday & Saturday, September 22 & 23, 2017

 The weekend will begin with the 23rd Annual Alumni Golf Classic on Friday, September 22nd at 10:00 a.m. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Clinton Country Club. A full hot breakfast will be served. For those not wanting to conquer the links, there will be a Sip and Dip event at the Clinton Country Club from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

That evening, head over to Water Street along the Susquehanna River to enjoy the LHU Block Party. Stroll through vendor booths and enjoy a variety of dining options from local restaurants. DJ Cashous will provide entertainment and kids will have plenty of opportunity for amusement with a variety of activities including an inflatable obstacle course and games. Don’t miss out on the giveaways and raffles.  The LHU Pep Rally will begin at 8:00 pm followed immediately by a fireworks show.

Numerous sporting events will take place throughout the weekend. Saturday’s events will kick off with a pre-football game party at the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center at noon. There you can join friends and family and gear up to watch the Bald Eagles take on West Chester at 2:00 p.m. at Hubert Jack Stadium. Transportation to the field will be provided.
