Lock Haven University recently celebrated homecoming 2018 from October 15-21 in which numerous activities were held for students, faculty, staff, alumni and other members of the LHU and local community to take part in.

On October 18, the LHU annual homecoming Golf Cart Parade was held. A total of 54 golf carts, decorated by campus clubs and organizations, made their way through campus and parked on the Poorman Commons, where the Lawn Party immediately followed. This year’s parade theme was, “Books, Books and More Books.” Parade winners will be announced on November 7.

On the morning of October 19, the 24th annual Alumni Golf Classic was held at Belles Springs Golf Course. Later that evening, the annual homecoming Block Party was held on Water Street, downtown Lock Haven, which included food, games, giveaways and more than 30 local vendors. The event ended with a pep rally, featuring the LHU football and women’s soccer teams, who had home games the following day. LHU President, Robert Pignatello, also sang “Sweet Caroline” with the LHU band, followed by a fireworks display.

Tailgating took place before the football game against Bloomsburg University on October 20, with the launch of the LHU Tailgate Zone. The 2018 Athletics Hall of Fame brunch and induction ceremony also were held on October 21.

The 2019 LHU homecoming dates have been set for September 23-29, 2019.
