Twelve members of the Lock Haven University faculty have been promoted for the 2017-2018 academic year. The promotions were made after a lengthy evaluation process and were conducted in compliance with the faculty collective bargaining agreement and the LHU promotion policy.
There are four faculty academic ranks at LHU—instructor, assistant professor, associate professor, and full professor. Each rank is carefully defined, and appointment or promotion is based on the faculty member’s credentials, professional expertise, and contribution to the University’s mission.
Lock Haven University President Michael Fiorentino Jr. shared, “On behalf of the entire Lock Haven University community, I want to congratulate all those who were recently promoted and extend best wishes for continued success. Our high quality faculty make a difference in the lives of students by providing them with a strong academic foundation and preparing them for success in today’s competitive marketplace.”
The following faculty members have been promoted to full professor status: Dr. Timothy Baylor, Dr. Regan Garey, Dr. Kimberly Johnson, Dr. Richard Mikula, Dr. Jody Russell, and Dr. Cengiz Yakut. The following faculty members have been promoted to associate professor status: Dr. Jennifer DellAntonio, Dr. Kimberly Everhart, Mr. Curtis Grenoble, Dr. Peter Huegler, Dr. Jeanine Page, and Dr. Stephen Streator.
