LHU social work program named one of the most affordable CSWE-accredited bachelor’s in the nation

Social Work ImageLock Haven University’s bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) recently was recognized by Human Services Edu on their 2019 Best BSW Programs list as one of the most affordable programs in America.

Human Services Edu assessed hundreds of schools around the nation and created the list to help potential students find information about the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited programs and bring recognition to top quality programs.

According to Human Services Edu, LHU’s in-state tuition is more than $8,500 less than the state average for social work bachelor’s degree programs at public schools.

“We are thrilled that the Lock Haven University social work program has been recognized as one of the best BSW programs by Human Services Edu,” said Dr. Lynette Reitz, professor and social work program director at LHU. “The faculty and students work hard to ensure that we have a quality program that prepares students for jobs in the social work field and graduate school. We are so excited to be recognized in this way.”
