When Lock Haven University welcomes students back to campus in spring 2019, some may have their four-legged companions in tow. The university will be the first in the Pennsylvania's State System to introduce a pet-friendly residence hall.

On Tuesday, February 26, the Sons of Italy Loggia Giosue Carducci Lodge No. 146 presented a check for a donation in the amount of $10,000 to Lock Haven University. The programs supported by the gift are wrestling, $1,000; men's and women's soccer, $2,000; Capt. Andrew Koss ROTC Memorial Scholarship, $2,500; football, $2,500; and the Student Retention Fund, $2,000.

The Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra will host the concert, "A Spring Serenade," from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, March 15 in the Lock Haven University Clearfield Academic Building, second floor, Multipurpose Room.

On February 25, John Gummo, local railroad enthusiast, served as guest speaker at the ninth annual Colonel Robert and Helen Burgess Terrill Lecture at Lock Haven University.

Two Lock Haven University students have auditioned for and been accepted into the PA Intercollegiate Band.
